又如面对“给我一片绿草地”这一文题，有如下材料可供选择：

如果要写一篇反映家乡变化的作文，同学们可能会从家乡的山川田野、人们的言谈举止、村庄道路的建设等诸多方面着笔，这样写不太容易写得具体深刻。如果我们在选材上能盯住某一“小”处，从“小”处着笔，往往能获得“一滴水见太阳”的效果。如有的同学写自己家中餐桌的变化：矮小破旧的方桌——高大的、上了桐油的方桌——椭圆形的西餐桌，折射出人们的物质生活乃至精神面貌的变化，避免了泛泛而谈。从“小”处着笔，容易将重心落在实处。
