错误能让我们了解语言是如何被习得的,学习者可以通过错误发掘目标语言的内部规则(Corder, 1967)。学习者的词汇错误往往多于其他类型的错误(Johanson, 1978)。“词汇错误”是对目标语言词汇的形式或意义的偏差。被广泛接受的是James (2001)的分类,将词汇错误分为词汇形式错误和语义错误。形式错误分为形式误选,错误造词和字母误写;语义错误分为词义关系混淆和搭配错误。
国内外学者为词汇错误研究做了很多贡献。Duskova (1969)分析了50位捷克的硕士研究生写作中的错误,发现冠词错误最多,其次是词汇和形态的错误。国内学者宋(2011)调查了高中学生词汇错误,发现形式错误是最常见的错误, 其次是搭配错误和词类误用。以往研究者少关注高中英语学习初级阶段学生。因此本研究试图调查36位高一学生作文的词汇错误情况。
一、研究设计
本研究试图回答以下问题:
1.高一学生作文中出现的词汇错误主要是那一类型?形式错误还是语义错误?
2.形式错误和语义错误中的哪些子类型是较为频繁出现的?
本研究中的作文来源于河南省一所普通高中36位高一学生。题目是写一封信给英语杂志。学生需写下他们对假期通宵看电视和上网的看法。每篇作文由两位研究者分析,有争议时加以讨论得出结论。同一篇作文的同一错误反复发生时只算作一个。
二、结果与讨论
(一)两大类词汇错误的频次

从表一可以看出,形式错误占44%。语义错误占59%。语义错误总体上要比形式错误多。由此看来,学生所犯的形式错误要比语义错误少。主要是语义知识影响了词汇的正确使用。学生应意识到他们在语义方面的薄弱。但形式错误所占的百分比也不低, 学生在这类词汇错误上也不能忽视。
(二)子类型的频次

从表中可以看出,搭配错误是最频繁出现的,排在第二和第三位的是“字母误选”和“词义关系混淆”。这三种子类型占据了总词汇错误的80%。
诚然,搭配错误在作文中很常见,原因可能是学生尚未掌握词汇的实际使用。从结果中也可以看出,字母误写和词义关系混淆也很常见。因此,教师在教学过程中应该充分利用语境教学,注重词汇的实际用法,在此基础上强调形式和词义。
三、结论
本研究发现,所调查的高一学生作文中的词汇错误主要是语义错误,子类型中的搭配错误与字母误写较多。结果大体上与以往研究没有太大冲突,在一定程度上能够反映出高一学生词汇错误的普遍情况。本研究不足之处在于未具体考察学习者之间的内部差异。

To commemorate this event and encourage later generations to carry on the tradition of China-Cambodia friendship, the CPAFFC and the People’s Government of Fangshan District co-sponsored activities to mark the 40th anniversary in Changyang Township on November 7, 2011.
Among those present were Gu Xiulian, former Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and President of the China-Cambodia Friendship Association; Li Xiaolin and Feng Zuoku, President and Vice President of the CPAFFC; Princess Norodom Buppha Devi, President of the Cambodia-China Friendship Association; Khek M. Caimealy, Cambodian Ambassador to China; Liang Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Chairman of the Beijing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions; Zhao Jiaqi, President of the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Liu Wei, Secretary of the CPC Fangshan District Committee; and Qi Hong, Magistrate of Fangshan District.
Along with over 300 representatives from various circles of the two countries, they celebrated a glorious 40 years of the China-Cambodia Friendship People’s Commune.
On the morning of November 7, distinguished guests of the two countries including descendants of the older generation of state leaders such as Li Xiaolin, daughter of Vice Premier Li Xiannian, Princess Buppha Devi, daughter of Prince Sihanouk and Penn Dararadh, grandson of Penn Nouth arrived in Changyang. They tied red ribbons to and then watered the five cypress trees symbolizing China-Cambodia friendship. Gu Xiulian, Li Xiaolin and Buppha Devi then unveiled the China-Cambodia friendship tree monument.
At the activity with the theme “Witness”, the guests of the two countries watched a precious documentary shot 40 years ago of the leaders of the two countries attending the founding ceremony of the Commune and planting the trees of friendship and a short film entitled Changyang Today. During an interview period, those who took part in the Commune’s founding ceremony—Lu Yi, the then Party Secretary of the Commune, Xu Shiqing, the girl who presented flowers to Premier Zhou and An Xiulan, a Commune member—talked about their personal experiences with profound feelings. It was a touching scene.
In her speech Gu Xiulian said: “The people of China and Cambodia have gone through great changes in international situation and stood the test of time. They have always supported and encouraged each other, and advanced hand in hand on the road of maintaining world peace. The friendship and cooperation between our two countries has grown continuously, the traditional friendship has been increasingly strengthened and the friendly feelings for each other have taken roots in the hearts of our peoples. I am confident that the commemoration activities will further deepen the bilateral cooperation and exchanges and inject new vigor and vitality into bilateral friendship.”
Princess Buppha Devi said that she was very excited to attend these activities of historical significance and was glad to see that the China-Cambodia friendship trees grow luxuriously under the meticulous care of the people of Changyang. She extended sincere thanks to the Chinese people on behalf of the King Father Sihanouk and the Queen Mother Monineath and wished the tradition of Cambodia-China friendship would be passed on from generation to generation.
