我们读过《周总理的睡衣》这篇课文，周总理的那件睡衣补了又穿，穿了又补，直到逝世那天，睡衣仍然穿在身上。他的一双皮鞋一穿就是二十多年，一块上海牌手表一直戴到心脏停止跳动。周总理为我们树立了光辉的榜样。

有一次，我在电视上看到这样一则报道：广东省某一中学的食堂搞得不错，但很多中学生却到校外的餐馆就餐。当记者问他们为什么这样做时，他们居然回答：“多花点钱不要紧，到餐馆吃饭不用自己洗碗。”看到这里，我不由想到外国推行的吃苦教育。

伦敦有一所著名的贵族中学，叫伊登公学。这所中学是英国皇家王公贵族子弟学习的地方，建校五百多年来，英国的许多首相、大臣、将军和科学家都毕业于这里。

伊登公学对学生的要求很严格，学生们基本过着一种军营式的生活。教师和学生的住宿条件也十分简单，他们只有大间的集体宿舍，更令人不解的是，学生每星期五还得饿一天的肚子，真有点“劳其筋骨，饿其体肤”的味道，据说，这是为了培养学生的纪律性和吃苦精神。

同学们。我们从小生活在和平时期，过着一种舒适安定的生活，有的同学在家里被视为是“小皇帝”、“小太阳”，父母对他百般疼爱;有的家长以考试成绩为筹码，考好了发给“大奖”，很多同学的腰包都是鼓鼓的。于是学会搞攀比、讲排场、摆阔气。这种花父母的钱不心疼铺张浪费的作法，对自己今后的成长是极为不利的。

外国有许多心理学家认为：有十分幸福童年的人往往有不幸的成年。我国也有这么一句俗语：“少年有福不算福，有钱难买少年穷。”自从改革开放以来，我们的生活富裕了，但是艰苦朴素的作风不能丢，我们要按照《规范》严格要求自己，做到爱惜粮食，爱惜学习生活用品，不挑吃穿，不乱花钱，节约水电。

同学们，勤俭朴素是一种美德，让我们从小做起，让美德与我们同行!

有人认为即兴演讲全靠随机应变、临场发挥, 无法准备, 也很难通过练习取得成效;其实不然。“胸有成竹于前, 才能出口成章于后”。由于现场准备时间太短, 要想获得成功, 就要做到有话可说, 即平时积累材料, 练习理清逻辑、快速构思的能力。宏观上, 成功的即兴演讲须以流畅的内部语言结构为基础。它需要学生在短时间内高效整合资料, 能锻炼快速构思与语言组织能力。即兴演讲虽不像命题演讲那样讲究, 但也要内容精悍, 逻辑严密, 结构合理。微观上, 演讲中使用的语言不仅应准确流利, 语音、语速、语调等方面都应根据内容的需要而作相应调整。以上几方面能力, 不论是快速构思组织能力还是语言表达的准确度, 均可通过练习得到大幅提高。

首先, 在课堂中创造机会锻炼能力。将即兴演讲训练融入英语课堂, 如在课前5至10分钟进行, 用时不多, 但效果很好。“英语演讲活动的主体是全体学生, 英语教师只是起组织和点评的作用。”首先, 由老师给出即兴演讲的题目和2至3分钟的准备时间, 这期间要求学生审题立意、构思提纲, 充分调动起头脑中贮存的信息, 确定议论角度和大致结构。可以记录关键词, 但不能用完整的句子。时间一到马上停止, 老师每堂课随机点名几位学生上台演讲, 并在每个学生演讲后, 对该生的各方面表现进行评价, 纠正语言表达中的问题, 或补充相关的英语知识;也可以组织台下学生探讨, 增强互动, “学生在观摩同学的表演中, 互相学习, 逐渐有了竞争意识。学习英语的氛围和环境大大改善。从而促进英语教学工作, 极大地提高学生语言技能。”这种互动也是有其意义的。若没有任何互动交流, 台上的学生讲他的, 台下的学生们做自己的事情, 演讲训练将变成一盘散沙, 气氛沉闷死板, 不仅无法激励学生, 还会起到反作用。在轻松活跃的气氛和“你我他”的交流合作中, 学生们才更容易对英语演讲产生兴趣, 从而勇于讲、乐于讲。课堂即兴演讲训练看似是“迫使”学生去讲, 但在此过程中, 学生将发现自身口语能力的一步步提高, 增强即兴表达的自信心, 逐渐将他们从被动学习引导向主动参与。

其次, 鼓励学生自主学习。一方面, 广泛涉猎英文视听资料如利用网络观看美剧、电影等。积累素材, 扩大视野, 熟悉各类话题。此类方法既有趣又有效, 但执行过程中也应避免一味模仿, 如美剧中的对话都是生活常用语, 而在演讲中则应避免过多使用口语化表达方式和不当习语;也不应滥用部分英美人的口头禅如“you know”“like”“awesome”, 或是频繁使用“I think”作句子开头的习惯。另一方面, 多接触英文演讲, 借鉴学习。“演讲在英语国家中历来都被广为利用, 政治、经济、文化等各界人士都常常借助这种方式来同广大群众进行交流, 大量的演说名篇不断涌现, 其演讲辞也成为倍受英语学习者青睐的语言范例。”在学习这些范例、模板时, 要专注于总结它们的逻辑结构和语言特点。不难发现, 英文演讲的内容讲究亲身经历, 从小见大, 环环推进。同时, 切记不要照搬模板。此外, 要创造即兴表达的机会, 进行“模拟即兴演讲”:不仅要积极跟家人朋友练, 让他们多提意见, 自己对着镜子随意就一话题表述意见, 亦是适应即兴表达的有效方法。这过程中还可多加“调控”, 将自己说的英语录制下来, 听听录音, 跳出“演讲者”角色对自己的即兴表达进行客观评判, 准确发现问题再加以改正, 效果就会更好。

经过一段时间的训练, 学生的口语即兴表达能力会得到较大程度的改善。事实上, 即兴演讲的“可训练性”及其在训练中学生口语、提高思辨创造能力和培养英语实际运用能力上的有效性已得到了越来越多师生的认同和重视。英语教学在改革, 中学英语口语的教育观念和教学方法也要随之转变。而英语即兴演讲作为一个融合知识和技能的素质教育过程, 不仅能活跃学生思维, 拓宽学生视野, 也为他们提供了更多展示自我的机会和空间, 必将使更多的学生受益。

演讲的力量从古至今都是能够使人怦然心动的强大力量，它是一种重要的表达思想与达成目标的手段。国际演讲大师Stephen.E.Lucas认为公共演讲是一种将人的思想公之于众的方法，即一种与他人分享观点并影响他人的途径。自2002年起，我国每年举办一次由中央电视台和外语教学与研究出版社联合主办的“外研社杯”（原名“CCTV杯”）全国英语演讲大赛，迄今为止12年中，该赛事为国家外事交流、国际教育、科技政治等方面的进步选拔除了大批优秀的英语人才。他们精神矍铄，舌灿莲花，英语华丽，思辨突出。该赛事最具挑战性以及最能体现选手能力的部分便是即兴演讲环节。无可辩驳的是，英语即兴演讲正在潜移默化中推动学生进步，带动人们观念改变，深刻影响年轻一代的价值观念。

即兴演讲是最考察选手英语功底和思维敏捷度的环节。选手根据大赛组委会给出的一道命题（图片、视频、名言警句、文学介绍等）即席作出一段2分钟左右的演讲。在短暂的准备过程中演讲者不能像准备定题演讲一样广泛细致地搜集材料，而且也没有充分的时间精挑细选，基本上组织内容全仰照选手们的个人功底和文化素养。即兴赛题很大程度上考察选手对各国、各领域文化知识的领会和见解以及举一反三的能力。选手们作出的即兴演讲都是带有个人特征的分析和思考过后的慷慨陈词。文化因素寓于其中，是对知识的实践。在实践中发表看法，交流思想。

“外研社杯”全国英语演讲大赛的即兴演讲时间一般为三分钟，比赛形式主要有个人陈述（3分钟）、小组即兴演讲（3人一组）以及车轮战辩论。在较为段短暂的时间中，能够完整、清晰的阐释自己的观点已属不易，但优秀的选手往往能够通过自己的表达将思想世界公之于众，用思辨和文化的魅力征服评委，征服观众，也征服自己。纵观往届折桂的优秀选手，他们都有一个共同点：不光英语华丽突出，重要的是思想光芒万丈，独树一帜。在冗繁而具有深度的命题中将人们引入自己的内心世界。他们不光有缜密的逻辑、独特的视角，更重要的是无论他们是哪个专业种类的学生，都具有深厚的文化底蕴和文学素养。

本项赛事的即兴演讲，采用小组赛形式，三人一组分别对同一个题目发表看法。此项不仅考察对文化的认识理解，更进一步考验了选手们思维的广度及文化批判的新辣程度。

以上三位演讲者分别就梵高的画《向日葵》发表个人看法。对于《向日葵》这幅画所代表的意义和背后蕴含的文化内容众选手仁者见仁，智者见智。但进一步了解的基础则必须是对画作表面传达的文化因素进行分析。三位选手分别从梵高个人的生活状态经历、画作本身色彩布局、单一特殊的花朵位置等作为切入点，结合个人知识水平深入剖析，将一样的文化因素赋予了个人魅力，唇齿之间指点江山，思维碰撞出了灿烂的火花。

针对同一文化因素演讲的另一种形式是选手引用同一名人翘楚的名言，将有利于选题的词句作为利器武装思想，为演讲增色。

每个人都有一个家，那里有爸爸妈妈的关心和爱护。可是我说，我们还有一个家——学校。听到这儿，你也许会惊讶，学校是我们的家?别着急，同学，先请你耐心听我说。

我们一天中有将近一半的时间都是在学校里度过的，而住宿生更是以校为家，天天待在这儿。我们在这里学习，在这里游戏，在这里体验同学的友情，在这里享受老师的关怀。学校不就像我们温馨的家吗?

既然承认学校是我们的家，那么我们就应该好好爱护她。你一定不喜欢家里脏兮兮的吧，见到地上有垃圾，那就赶快把它捡起来;你一定不希望家里乱糟糟的吧，见到桌凳摆放不齐，那就赶紧把它整理好;你一定不愿意家里有不和谐的音符吧，见到不文明行为，那就赶快去制止!
