所谓“写”的过程应该与中文写作没有很大区别,无非是扣题,构思,表述。唯一要特别注意的是,写英语作文时,要求的字数比较少,所以在文章的结构上更须注意突出重点。在非重点部分,不要随意发挥,而应尽量直奔主题。以The English Teacher I Admire Most为例,文章的重点应该是讲述你为什么最敬佩他(她);他(她)有什么特别之处;你怎样看待他(她);他(她)是怎样成为这样的老师的等等。你可以状貌,但主要应该 “写神”,状貌应该简短,只起铺垫作用。写这篇文章当然离不开叙事,你可以叙述一件或多件事,这一件或多件事各自所占的分量应该有分寸,应能使整篇文章保持平衡。叙事时应该直奔主旨。英语写作非常注重主旨句,即能够统摄全文或者全段的句子。这个句子最好出现在文章的开头,然后在文章的结尾处用不同的表述呼应这个句子。例如,有一篇例文的第一句是这样的:She takes us into the magical English world(她带领我们进入充满魔幻的英语世界)。这就是一个非常有力的主旨句,足可吸引读者,让读者相信作者心中对老师确实有一种毫无保留甚或“五体投地”的敬佩,接下来就会有兴趣了解老师究竟有怎样的魔幻般的力量,让学生如此着迷。这篇文章的结句是her charisma is unbelievable(她的魅力是难以置信的),非常有力度,charisma与unbelievable两个词巧妙地呼应了magic这个词。文章需要主旨句,每个段落最好也要有这样非常有力的主旨句。构思完成以后,就是落笔表述的过程。这个过程应该迅速,最好能够一气呵成,不要过多地顾忌是否犯了语法错误,或者表述是否清楚。因为在完成了 “写”以后,你还有一个“作”的过程。

所谓“作”,就是“精雕细作”。英语初学者常常觉得自己眼高手低,想表述的意思难以成文,本来很精致的“意”却表现为颇为笨拙的“文”。这当然与我们掌握的词汇有限有关。但是,我们有限的词汇与表达,经过适当的调度与搭配,还是可以“作”出好文的。

处理完了表述问题,就进入了“深加工”阶段。英语写作最强调韵律感,即使是高深的学术文章,读起来常常也会很有“乐感”。这种“乐感”主要来自于句子结构的变化与组合。简而言之,就是长短结合,错落有致。英语的句子结构变化比较多,但我们在写作时受汉语的影响很深,写出的句子常常整齐划一,缺少变化。在加工时,就要有意地把某几个简单句加工成一个复合句或者复杂句。还应注意每一个句子的主语是否都是“人”(从头到尾都是he或者we),是否可以用一个抽象名词或者一个ing结构来充当其中某些句子的主语,以此构成主语的变化;在一个“意群”中,是否每个句子都是以主语开始;每个句子的谓语动词是否都是一个简单的动词,能否把其中的某一个或几个改成词组;能否构成一个又一个“短句+长句+短句”的意群组合;对于每一个表述,都要想想这种表述是否太中文化,用英语是否有更简单的表达。

中考英语作文试题的评判标准主要是:作文是否内容丰富、语言正确、表达流畅,若略有变化则为上乘。

So he lived by himself herding cattle and farming. One day， a fairy from heaven Zhi Nu (Weaver Maid) fell in love with him and came down secretly to earth and married him. The cowhand farmed in the field and the Weaver Maid wove at home. They lived a happy life and gave birth to a boy and a girl. Unfortunately， the God of Heaven soon found out the fact and ordered the Queen Mother of the Western Heavens to bring the Weaver Maid back.

With the help of celestial cattle， the Cowhand flew to heaven with his son and daughter. At the time when he was about to catch up with his wife， the Queen Mother took off one of her gold hairpins and made a stroke. One billowy river appeared in front of the Cowhand. The Cowhand and Weaver Maid were separated on the two banks forever and could only feel their tears. Their loyalty to love touched magpies， so tens of thousands of magpies came to build a bridge for the Cowhand and Weaver Maid to meet each other. The Queen Mother was eventually moved and allowed them to meet each year on the 7th of the 7th lunar month. Hence their meeting date has been called ”Qi Xi" (Double Seventh)。

February 19th, was the Spring Festival, the Chinese Lunar New Year. All the Chinese would en a seven day holiday starting with this day.

Early in the morning I was woken up by the loud explosions of firecrackers coming from far and near. After getting up I went out of my resident building to set off some fireworks. Following a loud explosion, a fire ball rose high up, illuminating the whole sky and bursting into the shape of a colorful flower. I got excited. What a ! By the time the sun rose up in the east, the air was full of the smell of gunpowder. I suddenly realized that the air was heavily polluted, for which I felt sorry but it was really a great fun!

When I came back to my flat, the delicious dumplings were served on the table. After breakfast, I put on my new clothes and went out of home to find my schoolmates to play together. I felt happy and gay through out the Spring Festival.
