期末考试前一天，她来求我说“请你给我讲解一下行吗?这次我很想考得好一点。”我开始给她讲解，不一会儿便草草收场，假装没有察觉她迷茫的眼神，一溜烟儿地跑开了。不出所料，这次她又考砸了。两个月后，新学期依始，传来她死于血癌的消息。我没有完成那项小小的任务，无人知晓。但我却不能原谅自己。她的眼睛令我难以忘怀，仿佛在责问我，“你为什么不愿多帮助我呢?这对于你来说，并不费事。你为什么不能理解我对你的信赖，而让我带着痛苦和遗憾离开这个世界?”

我当时才八九岁。但从某种意义上讲，这件事成了我生活的新起点。因为我开始体会到“责任”二字的意义，并尽心尽力地学着完成自己的义务。我也逐渐领会了这个神圣字眼的深刻内含:人与人之间的彼此需要和信任、合作和依赖正是人类社会存在的基础。

之后，我在生活中又经受过多次失败，但那小姑娘之死所引起的懊悔，心里却不曾再现。想到自己做每一件事都能尽职尽责，一种满足之感便油然而生。

此事及类似的多起事件改变了我，完善了我。当我长大成人，我开始领悟周围发生的一切变化。我发现，从某种意义上说，社会跟我一样，正处在一个自我完善的时期。新建筑、新商品、新款式一天一个样。新思维、新信息、新技术层出不穷。即便万里相隔，人们在转瞬之间即可相互交谈。社会竞争越演越烈。

人们越来越强调个性和创造性。越来越多的人因工作努力而受到奖赏。这就是当今的时代，一代新人由成长迈入成熟的时代。这是我们这一代人接替父辈治国安邦的时代。然而，我们也面临很多间题。

据悉，坏人在光天化日之下作恶，周围的群众居然袖手旁观，无动于衷。我还听说，目前我国尚有100万儿童连小学也上不起，而巨额资金却拿去举办奢侈的宴会和购置豪华的轿车。

我们常常买的是劣质药品，或名曰药品实为一文不值的废物，非但不能除病去痛，反而会使

病情加重。在某些人看来，世上金钱最宝贵，只要能赚钱，不惜牺牲道德和责任。

因而，这个时代赋予我们的是更强烈的竞争和效率意识，使我们更善于批判性地思考和创造性地行动。

此外，这个时代要求我们这一代人必须认清自己肩负的历史重任，下定决心，采取行动，解决上述问题。长期以来，历史一直在我们这一代人身上培养着这些品质。现在，历史呼唤我们挺身而出，以实际行动向全民族及全人类证实我们的拳拳爱国之心和大无畏的英雄主义。

在世界经济、文化一体化的形势下, 作为21世纪人们必备的三项技能之一的英语受到了越来越多的关注和重视, “一切从娃娃抓起”的中国无疑为儿童英语教育的蓬勃发展提供了肥沃的土壤。

我国传统的英语教学法是语法教学[1], 即通过传授英语的语法结构, 培养初学者的语法结构意识来掌握语言。如“There is an apple in my hand”, 传统教学法讲解“There be”句型、系动词、冠词a/an/the的用法。这样孤立、机械的教词汇、语法, 使得学生学习兴趣下降, 学习效率低[2]。实验[3]表明, 多种感官的积极参与, 能使大脑接受信息的渠道和刺激多元化, 从而达到高效率学习。

基于上述理念, 一些教育者尝试发明或发现一种适合幼儿学习外语的最佳途径, TPR (Total Physical Response) 方法应运而生。TPR即全身反应法, 是美国著名心理学教授阿歇尔 (Asher) 在20世纪60年代提出的语言教学方法。Asher教授认为母语学习的过程为:先接受短句的刺激, 然后用肢体语言作出反应, 最后过渡到用简单的语言进行交际[6]。TPR教学法依靠学生的主动性和情感作用推进学习, 在国外广泛应用于幼儿、小学第二语言及外语教学。

国内学者对TPR进行了相关研究。TPR教学法主要是建立在记忆痕迹理论、脑分化理论、学习理论、人本主义教学理论的心理学基础上[2,8,9]。根据这些理论, 很多学者提出了TPR教学模式, 其中包括纸板法、表演法、游戏法、绘画法等[8,10]。对于优秀的施教者来说, 他们既需要掌握正确的教学方法, 还要具备较强的教具制作和运用能力;较强的模仿、表演能力;良好的故事创编能力和标准的英语语音及流畅的口语[11]。有学者以一首诗歌的学习为例在两个平行班级进行过两种教学方法的比较, 课堂气氛有明显的差异[12]。另一作者采取单组后测设计, 对自己的授课班级发放问卷, 调查TPR教学法受欢迎的程度, 并且进行了一个学期的TPR教学, 学生在期末测试中取得了较好的成绩。

基于以上论述, 本研究的目的是通过实验比较TPR教学法与传统教学法在幼儿英语词汇及简单句教学效果上的差异。

2 研究方法

2.1 被试

选取某幼儿园4个班的学生作为被试, 以每两个班为一组。全班所有学生都接受同一种方法的英语教学, 但为了便于计算数据, 每班随机选取15个有效被试的成绩, 对其数据进行统计分析。其中男生36人, 女生24人, 平均年龄为5±0.46岁。

2.2 实验材料

实验材料共2份, 包括5个名词, 1~2个动词, 1~2个简单句。对应的单词用实物展示。

2.3 实验设计与实验程序

本实验为2 (TPR教学法和传统教学法) ×2 (内容难度:单词和句子) 双因素混合实验设计。自变量1为教学法, 分为TPR教学法与传统教学法两个水平, 自变量2为教学难度, 分为单词与句子两个水平。同一英语老师教两个班的小朋友。A班采用TPR教学法, B班采用传统教学法, 教授单词与句子两个水平的相同内容。采取同样的测试材料测试两个班学生的词汇掌握量及简单句的掌握量。授课教师作为主考官, 另有一观察员记录每个学生的成绩。

2.4 实验数据的记录和整理

第二次上课时首先考核上次教学效果, 考核分单词和简单句, 两个班的考核内容和形式均相同。考核步骤为:第一, 单词考核。教师出示实物, 幼儿说对对应的单词记1分, 不能说对对应的单词记0分, 一共10个单词, 满分10分。第二, 句子考核。句子类型有两种:教师出示实物苹果, 问“What’s this?”学生能回答This is an apple或apple记2分, 不能回答记0分。教师说出含有动词的句子, 如“Touch your ear”, 学生能够正确做出动作记2分, 不能做对记0分, 共15个句子, 30分。

2.5 数据处理

本研究采用SPSS12.0进行统计分析。对全部60名被试的考核结果进行数据处理。

3 结果与分析

不同教学方法与内容难度的平均数与标准差见表1。以英语成绩为因变量, 2 (教学方法:TPR教学法和传统教学法) ×2 (内容难度:单词和句子) 混合实验设计的方差分析结果显示, 教学方法的主效应显著, F (1, 58) =19.34, P<0.01, 即传统英语教学法与TPR教学法教学效果差异显著, 且TPR教学法效果显著优于传统教学法效果;教学内容难度的主效应不显著, F (1, 58) =0.63, P>0.05, 即教学内容是句子或单词所造成的教学效果差异不显著;教学内容难度与教学方法的交互作用不显著F (1, 58) =0.02, P>0.05。

4 讨论

幼儿期是儿童言语不断丰富的时期, 是熟练掌握口头言语的关键时期。有关幼儿词类的研究表明, 幼儿先掌握的是实词, 其中最先掌握的是名词, 其次是动词, 再次是形容词。而全身反应法正是根据这样的顺序, 从名词出发, 如apple, eyes;然后是儿童喜欢的各种动作, 如jump, hop;最后在儿童熟练掌握形象直观的名词和动词后形容词自然出现。

人类言语发生发展的内在机制认为婴儿先天具有一种普遍语法[15], 言语获得过程就是由普遍语法向个别语法转化的过程。这一转化是由先天的语言获得装置 (LAD) 实现的。作为言语获得基础的这种先天机制, 后天必须及时地暴露于语言的刺激下而被激活, 否则就会失败。教师要与孩子多进行语言沟通, 及时地让孩子暴露在英语交流的环境下, 为以后言语和书面表达能力的提升打下坚实的基础, 最后达到自然运用。

本研究与其他研究者的结论[12,13]具有一致性——TPR对幼儿而言是一种有效的英语教学方法。

5 结论

对幼儿进行英语教学, TPR教学法显著优于传统教学法。

摘要：目的:考察TPR英语教学法与传统英语教学法的教学效果差异。方法:使用两因素混合实验设计。选取幼儿园4个班60名学生, 每两个班为一组, 分别用TPR和传统教学法教授相同内容。进行两个课时的教学后用相同的材料对2组同时进行考核, 对结果进行统计分析。结果:教学方法的主效应显著, 教学内容难度的主效应不显著, 教学法与内容难度的交互效应不显著。结论:对幼儿进行英语教学, TPR教学法显著优于传统教学法。

近来我有幸观摩学习了校内外的英语优质公开课，不禁为老师们独具匠心的教学方式而深受感染，受益匪浅。不过，在欣赏之余也对教师不简单的教学方法颇有疑虑，一会儿是议论纷纷，一会儿是各抒己见，一会儿是争论不休，一会儿又是鸦雀无声，好不热闹的课堂。细细想来，不免有些哗众取宠和卖弄文采，这种过而无度其实是无用的高耗，无疑是对新课程教学的一种曲解，与提高课堂教学的有效性格格不入。

一、活用导学案，给学生自我构思机会

导学案已成为英语课堂教学的重要辅助工具，但有些教师似乎认为是一种流行时尚。殊不知，一趟有效的课堂教学应该在体现学生学习主体能动性的基础上多给他们自由思考的机会，让学生在探究中掌握语言表达运用规则，在实践运用中提高预学能力。

灵活利用导学案，更能够使得学生从现实实际出发，有的放矢探学，让课堂成为自由抒发思想情感的载体。如，在学习《牛津高中英语》模块六Unit 1 Laughter is good for you的“Reading B Stand-up for your health”时，有位教师围绕健康话题，要求学生搜集相关的健康长寿的故事，并围绕“Which information do you get from them？”要求他们进行补充，让学生能够从相应的空白处找出自己想要的东西。同时，补充了一些名人对健康的理解和看法，让学生就“饮食与健康”提出自己的意见，让他们的构思随着文章的表达内容进行有机融合，给他们更多的拓展延伸机会。

导学案作为教学的载体，主要功能是帮助学生了解课程学习的重点、难点等，帮助学生在主动补白探索的过程中积淀丰富知识。以导学案为圆点，鼓励学生自由发挥，跳出学案灵活自如运用，能使得学生在催生新的生长点的过程中获得深刻感知体验，让自我构思更有延展力。

二、善用任务探学，让学生自由协作交流

任务合作探究使得学生有了更多广阔的空间，使得他们获得可更多的自由与获得感。任务的设计应该在体现以问题为导向的原则中，多给学生自主话语表达权，让他们在不断交流的过程中展现真实的“自我”。善用任务引导学生主动探学，能使得他们在互动交流中博采众长，获得更多语言文化知识。

任务探学，能使得课堂教学更有目标性和方向感。如，有位教师在模块七Unit 1 Living with technology的“Reading B TV and audio devices：a review”教学中，设计了五个以上的任务，一会儿要求学生用同伴交流解决这个任务，一会儿要求学生又运用小组讨论解决那个任务。整个课堂学生成了教师算盘中的“珠子”，被随意的拨来拨去。其实，该老师只需要布置三个任务，围绕“Do you know about TV and audio devices？”“What did you read from the article？”“How are you going to use TV and audio devices？”让学生结合自己的学习能力自由选择和主动交流。这样的任务探学，不仅能使得学生不再一头雾水，而是让他们在主动挑选的过程中不断活化思维感知，帮助他们增强理解感悟。

善用任务，让课堂变得更加生动活泼，让学生有更多参与交流的机会。作为教师理应根据学生的综合学习运用能力主动制定任务，让他们能够更加有效地自由探学。任务引导应该突出多样化和差异性，让学生有更多的感思体验机会，帮助他们在交流中有更多的畅言机会。

三、巧设活动助学，帮学生淋漓尽致发挥

英语的交际性要求师生能在灵活运用中掌握语言表达规则，使得师生在身临其境的互动中产生运用的激情。于是乎，很多教师都在教学中运用实践活动来帮助学生理解，甚至是一个活动接着一个活动，让学生无暇顾及自己学习感知，只能被动模拟，疲于应付了事。

活动贵在“精”，让学生有足够的空间和时间去尽情发挥。如，在模块七 Unit 3 The world online的“Reading B The effects of the internet on our lives”阅读指导时，有位老师围绕“How much do you know about internet？”要求学生运用手抄报展示自己搜集的资料，并通过投影仪展示不同学生的成果，并引导介绍说明。在现场的解说中，有的同学生对未来互联网发展产生了浓厚的兴趣，并就“How do we use internet correctly？”进行主题演讲，让他们能够在活动中一展自己的风采。教师则对学生的解说予以肯定和认可，让他们在主动自由展学的过程中獲得丰富感思，提高综合语用技能。

创设的活动应该在体现全面性和发展性的基础上，多给学生自我构思和探学的机会，使得活动能集中课程教学主线进行有效发散延伸。多给学生应在自由、和谐的学习情境氛围，让学生在带着问题主动思考和带着讨论主动交流中不断积累语言感知，让他们有更多的展现机会。多给学生建构展示成果的平台，让他们能够获得更多的综合运用机会。

如上所言，英语课堂理应遵循简约原则，多给学生自由探学的机会，让他们在丰富认知思维感悟中积极协作和主动沟通，帮助他们在自觉探知中找到思维灵感。越是用简单的方式引导学生主动交流，越能够使得课堂教学更有诱惑力，越能够提高学生的综合语用技能。
