肖像描写

肖像描写是对一个人的身材、相貌、表情、服饰等进行描述。好的肖像描写,不仅仅是用文字给我们描绘出一个人的外在形象,还应该让我们能从他的外在形象上看出他的思想、他的性格和他的气质来。鲁迅笔下有一个范爱农,他是一个与当时社会格格不如的人。鲁迅写他,只用了“白眼球多,黑眼球少,看人总像在藐视”几句话,人物性格便在肖像描写中展现出来。赵树理笔下的老杨同志装束很特别:“他头上箍着块白毛巾,身上是白小布衫深蓝裤,脚上穿着半旧的硬鞋至少也有半斤重。”土里土气,与普通农民没有区别,但只有这样,才能表现出这位农村干部作风朴素,靠近群众的优秀品德来。

肖像描写要注意从以下几个方面着手:

1、抓住特征:

人物的外貌千差万别,两个人长得再相似,也会有不同的地方千差万别,抓住特征就是要写出这个千差万别。

请看下面的题目和例文:

一对孪生小姑娘走进玫瑰园,不多久,其中一个小姑娘跑来对母亲说:“妈妈,这里是个坏地方!”“为什么?我的孩子。”“因为这里的每朵花下面都有刺。”不一会儿,另一个小姑娘跑来对母亲说:“妈妈,这里是个好地方”“为什么呢我的孩子。”“因为这里的每丛刺上面都有花。”听了两个孩子的话,望着那个被刺破指头的孩子,母亲陷入了沉思。

根据提供的材料,加以想象,对这对小姑娘作肖像描写。

分析:一对孪生小姑娘,长相应该是很相似的,在现实生活中,常常也是服饰一样,从她俩的语言推测,年龄不超过十岁,性格也天真活泼,但即使是“孪生”姐妹,也不会一点区别也没有,或在长相、或在性格总会有点差异。所以,这道题,既写出他们的同,又写出她们的异,还要体现出年龄、性格等特征来。

例文:

这对孪生小姑娘顶多八九岁,长得十分相似:都是双眼皮,黑白分明的大眼睛闪着天真烂漫的光彩;微微上翘的鼻子秀气而适中;都是苹果形圆脸。所不同的是:妹妹的嘴唇薄,一笑腮边俩酒窝,说话声音甜甜的,有点娇;姐姐的嘴唇略厚,脸上带点倔强气,说话清脆而响亮。她们穿着同样的粉红色连衣裙。像两只美丽的蝴蝶,追逐、嬉戏在芬芳浓郁的玫瑰园

作者从眼睛、鼻子、脸形和服饰上写出了两人长相与性格的不同之处。

2、符合人物身份:

不同年龄、不同职业的人往往会在外貌等方面有独特的呈现,抓住这些能表现人物特征的地方加以描绘,是我们写出独特的“这一个”的重要方法。如孔乙己的长衫,少年闰土的“银项圈”,中年闰土的松树皮一样的手掌等。

例:汗水淋漓不止。黑色的汗水,带着带着黑色的煤尘,沿着铜黑的脸膛,渗如了黑色的纹沟;乌黑的大手攥着油黑发亮的车把;黑色的躯体,拉着黑色的煤车

这是一位普普通通的送煤老汉„„(陈军《生活的浪花》)

他(闰土)身材增加了一倍;先前的紫色的圆脸,已经变作灰黄,而且加上了很深的皱纹;眼睛也像他父亲一样,周围都肿得通红

3、展示人物性格:

对人物的描写归根结底是要服务于塑造独特的人物形象,所以,在描写人物肖像时要善于抓住最能表现人物思想性格、精神气质的肖像特征来写。

例:

广聚跟小元抬头一看,见他(老扬)头上箍着块白手巾,身上是白小布衫深蓝裤,脚上穿着半旧的硬鞋至少也有半斤重。(赵树理《老扬同志》)

孔乙己是站着喝酒而穿长衫的唯一的人。他身材很高大;青白脸色,皱纹时长夹些伤痕;一部乱蓬蓬的花白的胡子。穿的虽然是长衫,可是又脏又破,似乎十多年没有补,也没有洗。

肖像描写的主要方法有:特写式、漫画式、浮雕式。

特写式:

抓住最能表现人物个性的肖像特征作具体细致的描绘,就像电影特写镜头一样呈现在读者面前,给人留下深刻的印象。

例:

„„正在这时候,那位褴褛的广东人,又在湖边吹起了笳笛,他拖着一双泥污的脚,鼓起了双颊,轻巧地运用着他那多节的手指,一面走一面吹,不管他的衣杉已经湿透,那雨如珠般饰着他的斑白的头发。(选自黄药眠的《笳笛》)

用简单而夸张的手法对人物的肖像特征作幽默、诙谐的描绘,让读者对人物特征能够心领神会。

浮雕式:

就是在立体展示所写人物各个侧面的基础上,在调动起读者一定的审美期待的基础上,抓住人物在一瞬间表现出来的极富个性的、最能反映人物内心世界的外貌特征,加以刻画使你所写的任人物像浮雕一样“定格”在读者眼前。

这是一个二十四岁的青年政治委员告诉我的。当他述说着这一段话的时候,发红的脸上隐藏不住他的兴奋。他说的是谁呢?就是现在我所要粗粗画几笔的彭德怀同志,他现在正在前方担任前敌总指挥的工作。

穿的是最普通的红军装束,但在灰色的布的表面上,薄薄浮起着一层黄的泥灰和黑色的油,显得很旧,而且不大适宜,不过在他似乎从来都没有感觉到。脸色是看不清的,因为常常有许多被寒风所吹裂的小口布满着,但在这不算漂亮的脸上有两个黑的、活泼的眼睛转动,看得见有在成人脸上找不到的天真的顽皮。还有张颇大的嘴,充分表示着顽强,这是属于革命的无产阶级的顽强的神情。每一遇到一些青年的干部或是什么下级同志的时候,看得出那些昂昂的心都在他的那种最自然诚恳的握手里温柔起来了。他有时也同这些人开着玩笑,说着一些粗鲁无伤的笑话,但更多的时候是耐烦的向他们解释许多政治上工作上的问题,恳切地显着对一个同志的勉励。这些听着的人便望着他,心在那些话里沉静了起来,然而同时又更奋起了。但一当他不说话沉思着什么的时候,周围便安静了,谁也惟恐惊扰了他。有些时候他的确使人怕的,因为他对工作是严格的,虽然在生活上是马马虎虎;不过这些受了了批评的同志却会更爱他的。

拥着一些老百姓的背,揉着它们,听老百姓讲家里的事,举着大拇指在那些朴素的脸上摇晃着说:“呱呱叫,你老乡好得很”那些嘴上长得有长胡的也会拍着他,或是将烟杆送到他嘴边,哪怕他总是笑着推着来拒绝了。后来他走了,但他的印象却永远留在那些简单的纯洁的脑子里。

他从远远的大山窝里来。

他好象挺爱收拾,每天早晨把寝室打扫的干干净净,在此之前他会头冒热汗,满脸通红地从外面回来,我猜他也许是练气功去了,要不就是趁早看街市新鲜,也难怪,山里人吧。因此谁也不注意他。大伙儿叫他“山巴佬”,他不吭声,只是笑。

迎校庆搞大扫除,天不凑巧——下雨了,阴沟里的垃圾泡在水里,泥糊糊的。大家把扫帚伸到沟里,往一处扫。沟里的一头马上臃肿起来。没有铲,垃圾勾不上来,怎么办?大家光看着,不说话,读书做题目,咱们中,有的是里手,可就是这么点事,给难住了。雨下得很得意,打在头发上,衣服上,肆意的戏弄着。过道上响起了三年级学生敲打饭盆子的声音。肚子里闹得厉害,有人扛起了扫帚,转身要走,忽然,一条有两只眼睛的明景蓝裤子跃进了沟里。是他!——山巴佬。他卷起了袖子和裤管。深秋了,风吹得树儿“哗啦啦”地响,山巴佬搂起一把把垃圾往簸箕里丢。满了,一簸箕;又满了,两簸箕„„大伙儿冻得嘴出唇发抖,可他的脸依旧发红,就像早晨从外面回来。垃圾搬完了,他跳了上来。大伙儿拍着他的肩膀;“好样的”他不说话,只是微微地笑了。

星期三要开校运动会。“五千米谁跑?”体委站在讲台上喊哑嗓子敲烂讲台,无人答话。我班跳舞、演讲倒是很有几个头面人物,五千米这种苦活就都敬而远之了。“我试试。”一个很小的声音像从鼠孔里钻出来,但很有力,因而大伙儿听得很清楚。是他,——乡巴佬。他能行吗?瘦精精的,风能吹倒。

转眼星期三到了。短跑我班战绩平平,体委也只得了个铅球第二名。轮到五千米了,体委有气没力地说:“吧,山巴佬,跑最后也不打紧,只莫摔倒了,咱班的女士都躲到阅览室去了,没人扶你起来。”他默默地点了点头。“叭!”枪声响了,十几条粗壮的大腿向前冲去,他果然跑在最后,不过像没事儿一般。加油声震天响,只是听不到我班的金嗓子。看在同寝室的份上,我坚持看下去。一圈过了,他仍是最后一个,体委平金平静地说:“甭指望母鸡打鸣。你还是替我起草一份辞职声明吧,我混不下这个体委了。”两圈过了,他赶上了一个,有人“啧”了一声,三圈了,他又赶了两个,体委站起来伸长了脖子。四圈,五圈„„他不断地把对手甩在后面。我发现敝班那群“公主”们都挤前面来了,加油声响彻云霄,他准是听到了,越跑越快,终于冲到了最前面。他依然脸色红红的,头上冒热气,就像他往常清早从外面回来那样轻松。最后冲刺了,他越跑越快。冲了红线了,不待我们围上去,他一屁股坐在地上,望着“公主”们傻笑。

等他歇过劲来,我说:山巴佬,你怎么这么能跑?他笑了笑说:“上初中,每天三十里山路,今天只算个零头。”他拍了拍膝盖上那两只“眼睛”的灰尘,脱下鞋提着,很是惋惜地说:“本不该穿鞋子跑的,怕你们笑我山巴佬。”

谁还敢笑你呢,啊,山巴佬。

简析:本文善于运用精当的肖像描写刻画人物。作者只用了22个字,就使一位憨厚、朴实的山中小伙的形象跃然纸上,用笔极其经济。“瘦”写其生活质量之差,“黑”写其劳作奔波之累,“结实”写其经受磨炼的能力之强。最有特点的是作者描述他的衣着:“一条明景蓝裤子,膝盖前两只‘眼睛’,很显眼”。在文中出现了三次,但这样写非但不给人以累赘之感,还恰到好处的表现了人物。

肖像描写常犯的毛病:

一、肖像描写纯属多余

写人物,常常用肖像描写,但并非说对所有人物都要来一番肖像描写

二、肖像描写太多太细

有些同学描写人物肖像时,从头到脚细描细写,眉毛胡子一把抓。他们错误地认为,肖像描写越细越好。殊不知,写得过多过细,根本抓不住人物肖像的特征,往往给读者以芜杂臃肿之感,因而显得单调刻板、浅薄平庸,甚至有形无神,读来索然无味。

作文训练:

写一位熟悉人的肖像,运用多种描写手法,凸现其肖像上某一显著特征,300左右。

高三第二轮复习在搞好一轮复习的基础上,继续拓宽学生的知识面,全面培养听、说、读、写能力,让学生在系统的复习中牢固掌握基础知识,成功实现从语言知识到语言应用能力的转化。第二轮复习的主线是突破考点,理顺高考所涉及的重点项目,形成完整的、系统的知识体系,训练学生各个专题的解题方法及技巧,提高学生的英语运用能力。通过课堂限时训练和课下计时做题,培养良好的答题习惯,提高做题的速度及准确率,全面提高学生英语水平。本文对高三第二轮复习中的英语作文专项训练进行探讨。

一、英语作文失分的情况

从每次测试中总结学生的失分现象,主要集中在:内容不完整;不会展开要点;语法表达仍然是主要问题;抄试卷中的其他部分内容;背范文;书写潦草。

学生英语作文丢分的主要原因是不会造句,句子的谓语动词和非谓语动词错误是最致命的。写字很漂亮的考生,如果语言表达很差,句子不成句子,动词错漏百出,那他们的作文分也很少。对于这个问题,教师应该在第二轮复习中再次强调造句、时态语态。非谓语动词是写作时考生的难点,教师在进行写作教学时,也要强调主谓一致,情态动词,助动词,代词主格、宾格、所有格,名词单复数等基础很简单的语法项目,以及它们的运用。

二、英语作文评分标准

根据教育部考试中心编写的《2015年全国高考考试大纲(新课标版)》,笔者把高考英语作文的评分标准简单归结为:5档,漂漂亮亮;4档,清清楚楚;3档,马马虎虎;2档,糊糊涂涂;1档,不知所云。教师在平时批改作文时,应根据要点、词汇、语法、连贯、书写分别打分,在第二轮备考中也可以在教学中逐一落实。

三、高三英语作文专项的针对性训练

以2015年南宁、玉林、百色三市摸底考试(以下称三市摸底考)英语作文题目为例。

假设你是李华,你要参加学校演讲比赛,主题是提倡乘坐公共交通工具,实行绿色出行。请根据提示,写一篇演讲稿,内容包括:节约资源,降低污染;缓解交通拥挤;节省开支。

(一)认真审题,抓住要点。认真阅读作文的试题要求是做好该题的第一步。高考英语作文一般属控制性写作。同时留有一定的自由发挥的空间。因此务必细心审题,覆盖要点,进行合理的想象与扩展。

平时训练过程中要求学生尽量按规范的写作过程去做,先审题,确定体裁、人称、时态、文体等。本次作文人称为第一人称,时态以一般现在时为主,文体为演讲稿。

然后确定要点,三市摸底考英语作文的要点为四个,分别是:提倡乘坐公共交通工具;节约资源,降低污染;缓解交通拥挤;节省开支。根据要点选择适当的有把握词汇、句型,再用好恰当的从属连词连接上下文。可以用到firstly,secondly,thirdly…

其后是对形成的草稿进行修改,最后誊写到卷面上。与此同时,也要进行写作展开要点训练:原因、结果、类比、举例、假设、条件等。内容要点的四个方面:提倡乘坐公共交通工具;节约资源,降低污染;节省开支。如果只是表达四个观点,是远远满足不了题目的80-120词写作要求的。比如,提倡乘坐公共交通工具可以在原因方面进行拓展——经济实惠;节约资源,降低污染可以从结果方面进行拓展——节约资源,降低污染进而保护了环境;缓解交通拥挤可以从举例方面进行拓展——谈自己的乘坐经历。

(二)进行分段训练。层次清晰的文章容易在考试中得高分,也容易让改卷老师找到得分点。以三市摸底考英语作文为例,四个要点:提倡乘坐公共交通工具;节约资源,降低污染;节省开支,可以分成4个段落,按照先后顺序,让评卷员容易找到要点和得分点。

(三)因材施教。对于不同层次的学生,应该提出不同的写作要求并进行有针对性的训练。对基础较差的学生,首先要求他们努力达到及格分即15分,重点训练写对主谓宾结构的句子;对于中等以上水平的学生来说,应该确立第四档的18-20分为自己的起点分,再从词汇、结构、连贯性方面寻求突破,力争得到第五档的高分、满分。

(四)强调书写的重要性。第二轮复习意识地进行英语书写规范的训练,形成习惯,高考书写时就能书写规范、清楚。学生在书写训练时候经常出现的问题是:一是书写体混乱,没有从一而终,有些学生的字体夹杂斜体、印刷体、圆体,显得混乱;二是涂改太多,或者箭头乱飞;三是字体要么太扁,要么太细。卷面的整洁和书写的规范同样很关键。很多考生由于卷面不整洁并书写不规范导致不必要的丢分或作文给分档次不高。

(五)重视词汇、语法等基础知识的教学。因为单词的拼写是作文要注意的一个重要方面,因此对于大纲要求的单词,建议全部学生听写一遍,对于经常出错的单词要反复巩固,如husband,daughter,father,mother,doctor,job,family,lawyer,beautiful等使用频率高又易拼错的单词。对于经常性的作文话题,比如家庭、学校生活、工作、假期、自我介绍、文化活动等,组成话题词汇记忆。

同时要求能够灵活运用考试说明里的一些常用词汇,包括它的词性和用法,例如wish和hope的用法。对基本语法特别是句法及动词时态的讲解和训练也不可忽略如简单句、复合句及there be句型的运用等。

以三市摸底考英语作文为例,常见单词为:topic,speech,car,public,bus,advantage,energy,less,cheap, convenient,transportation,waste, money 等,通过试卷讲评课重点记忆。

(六)加强写作训练指导。作文注重的是文章结构、内容要点是否齐全及遣词造句是否地道。对各种不同的英语作文题材,要进行反复训练,才能让学生在考试中游刃有余。英语作文常见题材:约定类、建议类、邀请类、介绍类、演讲稿、图表类、看图说话类、道歉信、抱怨信、留言条等,再进行写作训练时,要注意以下几点。

1.仔细审题,覆盖要点。先确定文体,人称,时态语态。为了确保充分利用时间,要花大概5分钟左右打腹稿,主要以提纲式或者动词串写。把文章写到答题卡的时候,再进行合理的想象与扩展。开头、结尾要写好,要做到“龙头凤尾”。

以三市摸底考作文为例,文体:演讲稿,时态:以一般现在时和一般将来时为主。

拟好开头:Dear friends,Im very glad to stand here to give you a short speech.Today,my topic is Taking Public Transports.

拟好结尾:Lets take public transports as much as possible,for you,for others and for nature!

腹稿的动词串写:topic is,buy cars,encourage people,use public,save energy,is a waste of,drive less,make the roads less crowded,is cheaper,lets.

2.尝试使用较复杂的结构和高级词汇,增加文章的亮点。运用较高级词汇和较多的语法结构及过渡连接词语是衡量作文最高档的一项重要标准。词汇的选择要灵活新颖,出奇制胜,句型结构运用要灵活多变。如使用介宾结构,非限制性定语从句来描述社会发展带来的问题:With economy developing,more people buy cars,which have brought a series of problems.

3.平时鼓励学生注意欣赏、收集、背诵、运用课文和作文范文中表达地道的优美词句。归纳顺承、转折、递进、因果等衔接关系的连词,组建“连词库”,要求学生掌握基本的过渡词语,并能恰当使用,使全文顺畅自然,严密紧凑,逻辑关系更有条理,语篇整体意义更突出。

基本的过渡词要求人人过关:

(1)递进:furthermore,moreover,besides,in addition.

(2)转折:however,but,nevertheless,after all.

(3)总结:finally,at last,in brief,to conclude.

(4)强调:really,indeed,certainly,surely,above all.

(5)对比:in the same way,just as,on the other hand.

When my son, Mark, was in the third grade, he saved all his pocket money for over three months to buy holiday presents. The third Saturday in December, Mark said he had made his list and had twenty dollars in his pocket.

Paul and Jason were brothers who lived and worked on neighboring farms. For thirty-five years they farmed side by side, sharing machinery and goods as needed, without a single problem.
