雅思口语教学旨在传授语言运用能力, 而不是简单地教授语言知识点。因此, 采取有效的教学方法提高学生英语口语水平和综合运用英语能力, 使学生在语音语调基本正确的基础上就所熟悉的话题进行比较清楚的表述成为了雅思口语教师关注的问题。

2. 任务型教学法的定义和内涵

任务型教学法 (Task-based Language Teaching) 是20世纪80年代在认知法和交际法的基础上衍变形成的教学法。任务型教学法是一种把语言运用的基本理念转化为具体实践意义的课堂教学方式, 是在教学中就某个语言环境下设定一个具体任务, 让学生在完成任务的过程中实际运用语言进行交际, 通过语言的实践习得语言。任务型教学改变了以往教师为中心, 教师讲解、学生操作的做法, 强调以学生为中心, 重视语言内在意义及语言的使用技能。任务型教学法以任务组织教学, 以参与、互动、交流、探索、合作的学习方式, 充分发挥学生的自我认知能力。

3. 任务型教学法在雅思口语教学中的应用

雅思口语考试由三部分组成:第一部分, 考生向考官自我介绍;第二部分, 考生个人陈述;第三部分, 就话题进行讨论。主要考察考生就日常的观点和信息进行交流、恰当运用语言、连贯组织观点、就某一话题进行深入思考的能力。在雅思口语教学中, 教师设计的“任务”既要能激发学生学习的动机, 起到训练他们英语的应用能力, 也要较好的贴合考试题型。

3.1 热身活动

为了激发学生运用英语表达口语的兴趣, 可以在每一口语课开端安排不同形式和内容的热身活动。形式可以是个人陈述、记者采访问答, 或是校园短剧等, 内容既为后面的教学起到铺垫作用, 又符合雅思考试的题型。比如, 我让全班演练“贝克汉姆的答记者问”, 请一位学生到奖台扮演“明星”贝克汉姆, 下面的学生扮演记者将对明星进行采访, 明星回答记者的问题。这时, 作为记者的学生可以进行头脑风暴, 提出相关的许多问题;明星同学则要用灵敏、周全的答案来回答。这对学生在雅思口语考试面临考官的提问环节, 起到一定操练作用, 而且较好地激发对学生对口语学习的兴趣。

3.2 话题讨论

在教授如何描述一个人的雅思课堂上, 教师会安排学生相互进行口语练习。在这个部分, 应该由浅入深、有个人向小组进行话题演练, 形式可以丰富多元。例如, 我在布置“describe your favorite friend in your childhood”这个话题后, 先组织奇数排的学生向偶数排的学生用汉语陈述这个话题, 然后让偶数排的学生前后互换位置, 他们会遇到新的同桌。这时新的奇数排学生用英语向偶数排的学生阐述这一话题。在听了中、英文各一遍的陈述之后, 偶数排的学生应该形成了自己的思路, 这时再由偶数排的学生向同桌用英文陈述。最后, 我请一些学生向全班陈述, 让其他学生提出意见和建议。这样让学生对某一话题进行多式多样的讨论、操练, 使学生在分享中体会用英语交流的喜悦, 并学会欣赏他人、对比自己的优缺点, 有利于激发口语运用的兴趣, 提高口语水平。

3.2 课外延伸活动

在课堂之外, 老师也可布置课外活动, 对课堂教学进行有益的补充。在每一堂课结束后, 进入下一话题教学之前, 给学生布置任务。比如, 可以组织学生就这一堂课的分组进行话剧表演, 下节课展示;或者要求学生准备话题讨论准备素材及有关口语表达形式, 使得课堂内内容有效结合起来, 提高上课质量。

4. 教师的角色

教师在任务型教学过程中, 应该处理好任务设计和教材之间的关系, 对于任务的设计, 必须遵循目的性、系统性原则。在任务前、任务中及任务后, 教师也相应承担不同的角色。

在布置任务前, 教师主要起到引导的作用, 调动班级学生的积极性, 使其主动参与。在任务完成过程中, 教师也应在不同的角色中及时转换:为了营造理想的课堂氛围, 教师应该作为一个管理者, 调控整个班级的任务完成节奏, 并对一些不主动参与的学生给予鼓励;在任务分配之前, 教师也应作个良好的示范, 为全班学生展现任务的意思;在小组完成任务时, 教师应充当一个观察者, 注意学生的表现, 及时解答困惑, 辅助学生任务继续完成。任务完成后, 教师应作为一个裁判, 对学生给予综合的评价, 大体鼓励, 对细节上可指出问题。

对于学生在任务完成中产生的错误, 教师应分别对待, 如果是一些语音或拼写错误, 教师可以在整个任务完成后用学生互评的方式提出指正;若是一些影响流畅程度的错误, 教师应该及时指出, 因为若跳过可能会使学生的这个错误根深蒂固, 影响口语水平的提高。

5. 总结

任务型教学法在雅思口语课堂的应用体现了以学生为主的课堂教学模式, 使学生在任务的牵引下逐步完成对英语口语水平的提高。教师通过用任务激发学生对英语积极思考和实践, 促进师生交流、生生交流, 实现英语教学的交际化。结合雅思口语考试的特点, 任务型教学法也有效地使学生通过完成任务对雅思题型更熟练, 提高雅思口语成绩。如何更有效地发挥任务型教学法在英语课堂的实效性, 有待我们进一步的研究与探索。

As far as I know, he was born in an era of wars, so he moved with his family and attended school in many places during his childhood. He first came up with the idea of developing the hybrid rice when a series of natural disasters struck China, which caused unprecedented deaths.

After years of research, his team successfully cultivated a type of hybrid rice species that had great advantages over common ones. Due to his hard work and devotion, China’s total rice output rose dramatically, which solved the biggest problem in China back then. And this hybrid rice has been grown in dozens of countries in Africa, America and Asia, which saved millions of people who suffer from famine.

And right now he’s working on the research and development of genetically modified food, hoping to benefit more people.

So as you can see, without him, China wouldn’t be able to feed its people in the poverty-stricken areas. When natural disaster strikes, people no longer have to starve, feeling desperate. That’s why I think his job is really important to our society.

The most important benefit of wearing jeans clothing is that they do not become dirty as easily as the other types of clothes do. Moreover, you can have the pant and shirt of all size and shape and are sold at a reasonable price. They are found in different colours and attractive designs too. It makes the look smarter in some cases than the formal attires.

Usually, the jeans cloth is like all the other available clothes, and produced from jean fabric but it is special in the sense that it lasts longer than the other clothes. Jeans is a bit heavier in weight and thus the attires made with the cloths are of higher quality. Besides, the colours are also attractive and able to get attentions of the surrounding people for the distinguished design.
