小学低段学习除法和有余数除法时, 教材通常会要求通过“圈一圈”帮助学生加强对除法意义和算理的理解.可是看似简单的“圈一圈”, 在教学中却存在不少的问题.

例北师大二下《课堂作业本》第7页第1题:“圈一圈, 填一填.把18盆花平均分给5个班, 每个班可以分到 () 盆花, 还剩 () 盆.”学生的答题情况如下:

从图中可知, 学生列式解答均相同, 但是圈法不同.图1:从答案出发, 3个一圈, 圈了5次, 余3;图2:3个一圈, 余数也圈, 圈了6次;图3:5个一圈, 圈了3次, 余3.

该习题究竟3个一圈还是5个一圈, 还是都可以呢?我校二年级数学备课组进行了研讨.讨论时, 老师们各抒己见, 有的认为要鼓励学生解决问题策略的多样化, 有的认为“圈一圈”不能随心所欲, 应体现除法的过程……

分析思考:

“圈一圈”能不能随心所欲呢?答案是肯定的“不能!”我们可以从以下几方面思考.

1.从“圈一圈”意义的层面分析, “圈一圈”不能随心所欲

布鲁纳的发现学习论认为:学生的学习过程包括实物操作、表象操作和符号操作三个阶段.“圈一圈”属于实物操作, 在实物操作的过程中学生获得的直接体验, 为后两个阶段“表象操作”和“符号操作” (除法算式的构建) 作充分的准备.在访谈中发现, 3个一圈的小朋友 (见图1、图2) 是先算出答案, 再根据答案圈一圈.这样的“圈一圈”其实是为了圈而圈, 有本末倒置之嫌, 即失去了圈一圈的意义.

2.从“形”与“数”的关系分析, “圈一圈”不能随心所欲

平均分物有两种情况:第一种, 已知要分的总数和平均分的份数, 求每份是多少;第二种, 已知要分的总数和每一份的数求平均分的份数.我们通常称前者为“等分除”, 后者为“包含除”.如果不考虑题意, 光从圈一圈与算式的关系分析, 图1、图2从包含除的角度理解 (每3个一份, 有几份) , 算式应是18÷3=6, 绝非是18÷3=5……3, 因为余数要比除数小;从等分除的角度理解, 图2的算式应是18÷6=3.而图3无论是从等分除, 还是包含除的角度理解, 其算式都可以写成18÷5=3……3.

3.从平均分意义的角度分析, “圈一圈”不能随心所欲

笔者仔细查阅了相关教材和教参, 思考教材背后的设计意图, 发现关于“圈一圈”的作用和方法, 追根溯源, 在教材的安排上, 一开始就有了明确的指向.

以北师大四版教材为例, 学生第一次接触除法是二年级上册第七单元《分一分与除法》.起始课《分物游戏》中有这样一道例题:“15根骨头平均分给3只狗, 每只狗分到几根?”

要求让学生先动手分一分, 然后尝试用书面形式记录自己分的过程和结果.

教材呈现了下面三种记录方法:

从记录形式上看, 图4与图5类似.从分法上看, 图4和图6相同, 都是1根1根地分.教学用书建议图6的记录方法为“理解和掌握”的教学目标, 因为它很完整地表示了平均分的过程和结果:用小棒代替骨头, 用小圆代替狗, 每个圈表示分一次分掉了多少根小棒, 圈内小棒的根数等于平均分的份数, 画几个圈则表示要分几次把小棒分完, 每份分到小棒的根数等于所画的圆圈的个数.

教材这样安排的用意一是借助具体操作活动 (分、画、圈) 帮助学生初步理解除法的意义;二是对“圈一圈”的方法给予了规范, 圈的方法应该体现分物的过程, 1根1根地分, 分一次, 有几份就需要几根, 分了这样的几次, 每份数就是几.

综上所述, 文章开头案例中的“圈一圈”, 合理的圈法应该是5个一圈, 1盆1盆地分, 分一次需要5盆, 圈了3次, 也就是每个班可以分到3盆, 还剩3盆.这样的圈法才能体现除法平均分的思考过程, 才能促进学生理解笔算除法的算理.
