Step 1:Warming-up
1. 师生以small talk的形式引入新课。
T:What’s the weather like today?

【设计意图】以师生间关于天气的small talk导入本课。“在语言课堂上, 教师话语起着双重作用, ”它不仅是教师组织和实施课堂教学使用的语言, 而且是学生学习的过程和内容。教师和学生通过话语进行的互动过程就是他们使用语言的学习过程。在互动过程中使用的语言也是他们的学习内容。本节课教师在开篇就为学生提供了一个谈论天气的语境, 学生在这一语境使用所学语言, 使所学语言有输出渠道。同时, 我们还要看到教师的话语本身就携带了信息的输入语。值得一提的是:师生问候应尽量以一种轻松、谈话式的方式进行, 要使学生觉得每一次和教师问候的过程就是和老师进行有意义交流的过程, 是真正的问候, 而不是毫无意义的例行公事。师生间轻松、愉悦的、给学生平等对话感的问候交流便于师生以良好的精神状态进入课堂。

Guessing game呈现新知识
(1) 整体呈现四季图片
T:There are four seasons in a year (Season在图片中出现) .Now let’s have a game.Look and guess!Whatseason is it?
【设计意图】图片及教师的语言为目标词汇设计了一个合理的语境, 使词汇的意思不言而喻。在以建构意义为目的的互动中, 教师和学生的话语应主要关注语言的意义, 而不是语言的形式, 以免师生之间的意义交流被割裂。在这里不必刻意机械操练season。
(2) 先部分后整体形式呈现
第一幅图片呈现春天的景象。
先让学生看到图片的一个碎片, 根据碎片猜测整幅图片表现的是什么季节。学生猜测后呈现整幅图片, 突出呈现spring, 然后以文字说明春天的景象及在春天可以进行的典型活动。
【设计意图】游戏竞猜的方式激起学生参与的欲望, 根据学生的认知特点, 我们在设计游戏竞猜活动时也应力求创新。这里设计了碎片还原的方式。图片中的文字既是学生学过的这一单元前几课中出现的内容, 又是这一课中复现的需要学生运用的主要内容, 同时也为学生理解词汇、丰富语言提供了语境, 增加了语言输入的量。
(3) 整幅图片模糊呈现, 没有一点提示。
第二幅图片呈现夏天的景象。学生猜测后根据第一幅图片的文字说明进行描述。
(4) 碎片呈现
第三幅图片呈现秋天的景象。这次碎片呈现与第一幅不同的是先呈现人物。
(5) 模糊呈现
第四幅图片呈现冬天的景象, 孩子们在堆雪人。
【设计意图】通过这个游戏竞猜环节的设计, 为学生创设一个意义相对完整的互动活动, 学生在这个活动中对5个目标词汇有了整体感知和理解。因为这5个词汇对学生来说并不难, 所以建议在这个过程中不进行割裂意义的单词拼读及机械操练练习。
教师有意识地带有感情色彩地描述各个季节的景象, 一方面让新语言反复呈现, 刺激学生的视觉、听觉器官, 同时, 将图与文字、语言同时呈现, 目的是在词与景象间建立联系, 刺激学生的感官, 使学生的感觉器官对新词有了深刻的印象, 刺激他们积极记忆。同时语言、图画的呈现有利于帮助学生形成英语思维。

意义交流呈现新句型。

(教师与某一学生直接交流。经过前面的铺垫, 基础好一些的学生已完全能够理解并与教师进行交流。)
【设计意图】这里教师与学生进行的是真实交流。我们强调在英语课堂上教师的话语要具有真实性, 不是假交流。这里教师将新句型以与学生会话似的方式呈现, 一是将新句型在语境中呈现, 同时也是在尽量引导学生说话。教师课堂话语的使用方式直接影响到学生的参与程度。有学者认为, 语言课堂的教学过程应该是一种会话似的交流。在互动似的话语交流过程中建构语言知识, 而不是由教师传授给学生。这种建构的知识更易被学生理解记忆。
Step 4:Presentation 3
活动调查使用新句型
学生以调查访问的形式采访其他同学并完成调查表。
【设设计计意意图图】这个环节的设计旨在为学生提供一个真实的语境, 使学生能够在真实的语境中说英语、做事情。
设计问题情境引入课文:
1.课件呈现课文情境及两个阅读问题。
2. 学生带着问题听录音, 初步感知课文。
3. 学生跟读、自读, 熟悉课文, 提出自己的两个问题。
4. 回答问题, 深入理解课文。
【设计意图】教材中的语篇本身就为教与学提供了最好的语境, 充分利用它往往能起到事半功倍的效果。语篇阅读教学的重点不是操练句型、讲解语法、汉英互译, 而在于教给学生阅读技巧, 习得自主阅读能力。新的语篇教学理念要求教师改变角色, 成为引导者, 引发学生思考, 给学生自主提问的机会。
五、评析
教师话语在英语课堂有着至关重要的作用, 一方面它是教师组织和实施教学使用的语言, 是教学工具;另一方面, 它又是学生学习的过程和内容。在学生语言发展的初级阶段, 它是学生最重要的语言输入。作为英语教师, 在课堂上, 要注意自己话语内容的真实性, 让学生接触和学习现实中使用的语言, 为真实交际做准备, 同时让学生感觉到所学语言就是生活中真正使用的语言, 让他们觉得学英语有用;还要注意话语的互动性, 具有互动性的话语能够提高学生的参与程度, 有助于知识建构并建立起以学生为中心的课堂。

二、教材分析
《新目标英语》八年级上册第六单元section A的主要学习内容有以下3点:
1词汇:tall, thin, short, heavy, calm, wild, long hair,short hair, outgoing, quiet, funny, serious, smart, athletic,ect.
2句型
Pedro is funnier than Paul.Tina is taller than Tara.Tom is more athletic than Sam.
3语法:形容词的比较级和最高级。
三、学情分析
学生曾学过形容词的比较级和最高级,但掌握的程度不够,在使用单音节和多音节形容词的比较级和最高级进行表达时总是出现错误。通过对本课的学习,可以巩固所学知识,掌握用正确的语言结构表达人物特点和对人物进行比较。同时,利用多媒体课件上英语课,学生视听感受明显,表现出极大兴趣,在欣赏和享受中学习,学习效果明显。
四、教学目标
1谈论学生感兴趣的话题,指导学生学习人物特点的单词、对人物进行比较的表达及如何正确运用形容词的比较级和最高级进行交际。

Answer the questions and discuss the whole text to make sure the students understand the meaning of the text. Deal with the language points at the same time.
Step 3 Listen to the audiotape again and let the students read after it.
